Corneal Associates of New Jersey announces that Fellowship Trained Corneal, Cataract and Refractive Surgeon, Yuna Rapoport, MD, MPH, has joined the practice serving patients in their Fairfield, New Jersey office. Dr. Rapoport specializes in the treatment of the cornea, cataracts, refractive vision correction surgeries and glaucoma treatment.
“We are pleased to announce that Dr. Yuna Rapoport has joined the cornea team at Corneal Associates of New Jersey”, says Theodore Perl, M.D. “Dr. Rapoport finished a cornea fellowship at Mass Eye and Ear of Harvard Medical School and will be providing comprehensive cornea and refractive expertise to our patients”.
Dr. Rapoport attained her undergraduate and medical degrees Northwestern University, where she was a part of the accelerated Honors Program in Medical Education and simultaneously received her Master of Public Health degree. She completed her residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute in Nashville and completed her corneal and refractive fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School.
In addition to being fluent in Spanish and Russian, Dr. Rapoport is conversational in French and Hebrew. In her free time, she enjoys art, live music, tennis, photography, skiing and traveling. She also has combined her artistic skills with her love for ophthalmology by partnering with Mort Gerberg, renowned New York cartoonist and publishing “The Eyes Have it: A Site for Sore Eyes, A book of eye cartoons and puns”.
