Dr. Thanh Nguyen, MD, is an Ophthalmologist who specializes in Cataract Surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries.
Dr. Nguyen graduated with distinction as an Echols Scholar with a BA in Biology and Psychology from the University of Virginia. She then earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she also interned in the Department of Internal Medicine. After her internship, Dr. Nguyen completed her residency with the Department of Ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate Health and Sciences University.
Dr. Nguyen is a recipient of numerous honors and awards, and has been published in multiple medical journals and presentations. She is also a member of the American Association of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling and exploring different cultures through arts, music, and food. She enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking, white-water rafting, and playing tennis as well as volleyball. Dr. Nguyen also enjoys working on small acrylic art projects in her spare time as well.
