Iselin, NJ – Omni Eye Services, with 6 offices throughout northern New Jersey and New York, is navigating some changes as it prepares to return to normal patient care and serve more patients. For the last eight weeks, only emergency patients and essential post-surgical care appointments were being seen in-office.
As of 5/18/20, all Omni offices will return to normal schedules seeing regular patient appointments as well as performing surgeries.
Dr. Christopher Quinn says “As we re-open, every precaution is being taken. We have implemented several new protocols with the safety and wellbeing of patients and staff as our top priority. We are so pleased to be able to open our doors to all patients again to receive the essential care they need.”
All patients and visitors must enter with a mask and be screened by the facility staff. The mask should cover the mouth and nose. A mask will be provided for any patient or visitor without a mask. Exceptions will be made for children younger than two years of age, as per the CDC guidance. At this time, patients are not allowed to bring and guests into the office with them unless there is a medical reason. If patients are not feeling well, they are advised to call the office and reschedule or change their appointment to telemedicine.
Telemedicine has helped the Omni team triage medical patients over the last 8 weeks. Although the office will be returning to normal clinical operations starting May 18th, the eye center says telemedicine will be staying.
