Dr. LaFata specializes in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease in adults and geriatric patients. She is the Center Director for Omni Eye Services, West Orange.

A board-certified optometrist,  Dr. LaFata graduated cum laude from Wagner College. She then completed her optometric education at the State University of New York (SUNY), College of Optometry, where she received the Scott Tasker Folsom Scholarship. She performed her internship at both Veterans Affairs (VA) NY Harbor Healthcare-Brooklyn and Omni Eye Services, where she stayed on to complete her residency in Ocular Diseases.

Dr. LaFata is an adjunct clinical associate professor at the SUNY State College of Optometry and holds optometry academic appointments at Salus University, the Ohio State University, and the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
