Dr. Novak is a board certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery at our Chambersburg location. He will be providing care to our patients the first and third week of each month.

Dr. Novak will work side-by-side with our team of doctors providing the following services:

• Cataract Evaluation and Surgery
• Comprehensive Eye Evaluation

He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1989; followed by an internship in Internal Medicine at The University of Rochester, completed in 1990; Ophthalmology residency at The University of Pittsburg Eye and Ear Institute, completed in 1993; and a Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgical Fellowship at The Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine, completed in 1994.

Dr. Novak has specialized in Cataract Surgery and Comprehensive Ophthalmology for over 20 years. He regularly teaches advanced eye surgical techniques to other physicians and physicians in training at various national eye meetings, and has published multiple peer reviewed ophthalmology journal articles and contributed to cataract surgery texts.

In his spare time, Dr. Novak and his wife Ellen can often be found walking in the woods with their dog, a high energy Australian Shepherd. Dr. Novak also enjoys coaching youth and adult rowers. He is a U.S. Rowing Association Level 2 Coach.

Dr. Novak looks forward to joining Ludwick Eye Center, where we are dedicated to providing compassion and excellence in eye care.
