Biography

After completing his residency at Omni Eye Services in ocular disease, Dr. Veliky was asked to remain on staff as a consultative optometrist and he now serves as the Center Director for Omni Eye Services in Iselin, NJ. He is committed to expanding the educational experience through his integral role as the director of the residency and internship programs at Omni Eye Services where he holds lectures and workshops for the staff. Dr. Veliky received the NJ “Young Optometrist of the Year” award by the NJSOP and serves as a lifetime member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanities.

Dr. Veliky graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society and completed the honors program with a research project on the leading causes of blindness. He further completed his optometric education at the New England College of Optometry.

Dr. Veliky has been published in The Review of Optometry and has lectured to optometric societies throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Veliky is an active member of the Clinical Care Committee, chairperson for the Industry Relations Committee and a member of the Board of Directors. He is also the CE chairperson for NJSOP’s Annual Summer CE Program.

Dr. Veliky is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the President of the Mid-Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. He heads the continuing education section of that same local chapter. He is also an Adjunct Professor for New England College of Optometry, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, The Ohio State University – College of Optometry, and SUNY College of Optometry.
