Dr. Monisha Vora, M.D. is a fellowship-trained cataract and glaucoma surgeon. She specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of cataracts and glaucoma.
Dr. Vora earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Hispanic Studies summa cuma laude from Carnegie Mellon University. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Northwell Health in Long Island, New York, followed by a surgical residency in Ophthalmology, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. She finished her Glaucoma Fellowship at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Vora has been featured in numerous publications and has received numerous awards, such as the Mellon College of Science Award and the Judith Resnik Challenger Series Scholarship for Women. She has presented at national meetings including the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is a local and national speaker for numerous ophthalmic industry partners as well. She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor on the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
