Dr. Weigel specializes in LASIK and cataract surgery. A board certified doctor of ophthalmology, he joined Ludwick Eye Center in 2012.  He has performed thousands of surgeries and conducted many education seminars on eye disease and vision loss.

Dr. Weigel earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. He completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was named Chief Resident. He also received the Senior Ophthalmic Resident Paper Award by the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.

Dr. Weigel is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.
