OOMC Reopens Offices and Welcomes Back Patients Amid COVID-19

May 14, 2020

description

Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Omni Ophthalmic Management Consultants (OOMC) has taken action to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff through strict, in-office safety protocols and a temporary pause in non-urgent eye care over the last eight weeks.

We are excited to announce that starting Monday, May 18th, OOMC offices will reopen for all patients and all appointment types.

We understand this is not a time to let our guard down, and our team will continue diligently working to ensure the safety of those who seek care in our offices. Furthermore, our team is in continuous dialogue with both local and national health establishments to ensure the proper protocols are in place.

CEO of OOMC, Dr. Christopher Quinn, says “As we re-open across the network every precaution is being taken. We have implemented several new protocols with the safety and wellbeing of staff and patients as our top priority. We are so pleased to be able to open our doors to all patients again to receive the essential care they need.”

Feel Confident in Your Care

Now that we have a better understanding of COVID-19, we are more prepared than ever to provide a safe environment for patients to access quality eye care. Our offices are taking the following precautions, to minimize exposure and help you feel comfortable coming to our offices and confident in receiving the care you deserve.

What You Can Expect at Your Next Visit:

  • Social Distancing – Each office has implemented curbside check-in, offering patients the ability to wait in their cars until their appointment time. Welcome areas have been arranged to provide more space between seats. Plexiglass shields are in offices to separate patients from staff. Patient schedules have been adjusted to minimize the number of patients in each office.
  • Extensive Cleaning – Cleaning of exams rooms takes place before and after each patient. Our welcome areas, bathrooms, and frequently touched surfaces are being regularly disinfected.
  • Patient Screening – All patients are screened before visiting. Through our pre-registration application, patients will answer a COVID-19 questionnaire. Before entering the office, patients are required to have their temperature taken as well as use our hand sanitizer station. Anyone who shows any signs of sickness or has a fever will be asked to leave and we will kindly reschedule your appointment for a later date.
  • Staff Checks – Each staff member is screened daily for symptoms of COVD-19 and temperatures are checked twice daily. If any staff member exhibits symptoms or has recently been in close contact with an individual experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, they will be quarantined according to current CDC guidelines prior to returning.

What We Expect from You:

  • Wear A Mask – All patients are required to wear a mask while in our offices. Staff are also required to wear masks.
  • Do Not Bring Visitors – We ask that you do not bring anyone to you with the office unless there is a medical reason.
  • Stay Home if You Aren’t Well – If you are experiencing any signs of sickness, especially possible signs of COVID-19 (fever, cough, or shortness of breath) please call us and we will reschedule your visit or move you to a telemedicine appointment.
