Dr. Strauss is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous.

Dr. Strauss graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in English. She was accepted to medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine through its prestigious Humanities in Medicine program. She then received her MD from Mount Sinai with distinction for research in ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmology residency and surgical training at New York University Medical Center/ Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital. She completed advanced fellowship training in vitreo-retinal surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where she received a research award for most outstanding project completed by a fellow.

Dr. Strauss is a national speaker and published author. She has presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, Ocular Surgery News: Retina and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
