A Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Maley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University with a degree in engineering, He went to medical school at the University Of Vermont College Of Medicine and completed his postgraduate medical training an internship at the University of Hawaii, his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Iowa.

Prior to joining the Phillips Eye Center, Dr. Maley was in private practice at the Rhode Island Eye Institute in Providence.
